Group Loans

Clients are arranged into groups with sizes ranging from 10-25 persons, led by a group leader. Group members receive variable amounts ranging from US$250.00 to (very rarely) US$2000+. On average, loans are about US$700. Funds are typically disbursed in June and again in December to coincide with major business holidays (Liberian Independence Day and Christmas). All group loans carry an interest rate of 10% per cycle, (far less than the regular Bank which charges are above) The groups are encourage to have 10% saving made as group savings which can be withdrawn at any time the group desire to exit and serves as group collateral. The loan amount plus Interest and groups’ savings payments are spread evenly across the six months.
